Our Philanthropy Events

The mission of the Kappa Upsilon is to develop the future leaders of the Jewish community. This is demonstrated every day through acts of brotherhood, social awareness, support for Jewish communities. Through Tzedakah and Tikkun Olam – repairing the world are among the most important principles of our fraternity. Without a strong community around us the support for our house is nonexistent.

Rock-A-Thon is one of the largest single chapter philanthropies in the nation supporting the American Cancer Society. Alpha Epsilon Pi raised $102,000 in 2017, and looks to continually exceed that amount year after year.  Involving a single fraternity member sitting in a rocking chair for extended amount of time while remaining members disperse across campus and Lawrence to can for donations. Rock-A-Thon bring the entire house together to support a great cause.

St. Baldricks

Ready, Set, Shave. St. Baldrick's is an event intended to give attention and highlight the severity of childhood cancer. In order to support the cause brothers are asked to volunteer to raise money and ultimately shave their own heads. A small sacrifice for an even bigger reward to one day get rid of childhood cancer once and for all!
